Land Development Agency Acquires South Dublin Residential Development

The Land Development Agency (LDA) has purchased a residential project in Cabinteely, South Dublin, from Marlet Property Group. The development includes 222 apartments and 12 duplexes, which the LDA intends to offer as cost-rental accommodations.

This initiative aims to provide housing at below-market rents for households earning under €66,000 in Dublin. The acquisition is part of the LDA’s Home Building Partnership, targeting the delivery of 5,000 affordable homes.

For landlords, this move indicates a governmental push towards increasing affordable housing stock, which could influence the broader rental market dynamics in the region.
